P.E.E.R.S

The cornerstone of our success is our P.E.E.R.S. model

At DFG, we help you build initiatives grounded in successful models of change that satisfy the following criteria:

Partnerships

Partner with other organizations to leverage resources, skills and ideas so you are not duplicating or infringing on work already being done well. Viable partnerships with individuals, existing organizations, corporations and other funders should all be identified.

Equity

Interrupt the patterns of systems of oppression by ensuring that those historically marginalized have more access to resources and opportunities to live safe, meaningful, and choice-filled lives. Equitable work demands boldly challenging racial and economic injustice and supporting local change with transparency and community collaboration. Corporations, foundations, and nonprofits engaged in promoting greater equity must also conduct an internal analysis of its structure and policies to ensure an inclusive, respectful, and fair workplace culture.

Effective

It is a myth that doing something is better than doing nothing at all. Ineffective initiatives can be detrimental to the population the organization hopes to serve if the work is not thoughtfully planned and assessed. To ensure real progress, DFG integrates data-driven approaches to monitor the initiatives’ measurable impact.

Replicable

Produce work that is strategic, equitable and evidence-based. An indication of a strong infrastructure is its ability to be successfully replicated across multiple communities, populations, teams, and charters, while being flexible to address local needs.
