JENNY GOLDSTOCK WRIGHT

FOUNDER & CEO

Driving Force Group’s founder Jenny Goldstock Wright is the unbelievably proud granddaughter of the late Herbert M Goldstock, a Jewish man who in 1944 integrated Army sports teams. Years later, he integrated the liquor distribution business for which he worked. Jenny is the equally proud daughter of Herbert’s son, Ron Goldstock, who taught her at every turn what his father taught him. Racism is unacceptable and dangerous, and it is our human obligation to speak up against it every chance we get. Informally throughout childhood and then formally throughout her entire professional life, Jenny has been a champion of social and racial equity. Since it’s inception, Jenny and DFG has truly represents the values her grandfather taught her father and her father taught her.

Marrying her desire for social and racial equity with her frustration over well-meaning philanthropists faltering at the hands of bad advice, Jenny created  DFG. The backbone of her work is educating both new and existing philanthropists, and those surrounding the philanthropists, on the P.E.E.R.S™  (Partnerships, Equity, Effective, Replicable and Sustainable) model of philanthropy she identified.  This includes ensuring the philanthropists understand the nuance of IRS governance and industry best practices and do not take on unnecessary risks. It is Jenny’s goal for traditional philanthropists, foundations, corporations and new philanthropists to leverage one another's skills, experiences and resources to create deep community impact.

Jenny received her Bachelor of Arts degree at Skidmore College and her Master of Education from Harvard University.
